LOGAN CITY SKATE AROUND Inc

Logan City Skate Around is the artistic roller skating club. The club consists of approximately 20 competitive skaters. The Club has been extremely successful since its inception in 1992 with high placings in State, National and Oceania Championships. Several members have represented Australia in both the Oceania and World Championships since 1999. The club also has a high number of new skaters who have recently finished the Learn to Skate classes and are now achieving high placings at local competitions on both quad and inline skates. A number of these skaters will be competing in the State Championships for an individual event for the first time in 2008.

The club has a Level 1 Figures, Freeskate, Dance and Precision accredited/insured coach who teaches both group and private lessons, as well as teaching the Learn to Skate classes. It also has a second coach who has recently completed her Level 1 accreditation for figures. In addition to this, the club has four junior coaches who will be undergoing the accreditation process within the next 1-2 years.

 

Mission Statement:

Logan City Skate Around actively fosters Artistic roller skating because we believe that it develops self esteem, confidence, concentration and thinking skills, teamwork, positive communication, socialization skills and self discipline. Our club caters for skaters of all ages to participate at various levels in a friendly, supported environment.
