Coaches |

Logan City Skate Around has one accredited coach, and one coach undergoing the accreditation process. These coaches teach group and individual lessons, as well as run the Learn to Skate classes. Both coaches hold current Blue Cards. |

Anita Lloyd-Jones |
|
Accreditations: Level 1 Figures, freeskating, dance and precision. Anita has completed her level 2 General Principles and is awaiting the practical component for this accreditation. Disciplines coached: Figures, freeskating, dance and precision Achievements in coaching: Anita is the head coach at Logan City Skate Around. She has been coaching as a level 1 accredited coach since 1997, and has been coaching Learn to Skate classes since 1994. She has coached skaters from beginner all the way through to National level competition. She was the recipient of the Skate Queensland Coach of the Year Award in 2007. Other achievements in skating: Anita has been skating since 1983 (she was 2!). Competing: Anita has previously competing in figures (National level), and precision (International level). She has also previously solo dance and creative solo dance at an International level and has also competed in dance pairs, freedance, mini precision and freeskating. She has competed in 20 State Championships, 14 National Championships, 6 Oceania Championships and 4 World Championships. She is a member of the Skate Australia precision team which has been ranked as high as 4th in the world. Judging: Anita is an accredited bronze level judge in the disciplines of figures, freeskating and dance. Outside skating: Anita works as an Occupational Therapist assisting children with disabilities within Education Queensland. |
